October featured artist

Folding Corners Collective
Title: Sevenfold 2015
Medium:  Collection of Old folded artwork

Location: Chan & Naylor

Artist statement

How many times can a piece of paper be folded before it cannot be folded anymore?
In how many ways can our lives be folded?
How many hats do we dare to wear?
Are we not always trying to perfect ourselves in the many and various roles we perform?
“Sevenfold” is an assemblage of old work that has been folded numerously to create one response.

“An unfolding then is that which always accompanies the fold, producing new folds but also opening us out to that which is yet to be folded.”
